I got one at clearance at Staples and intend to send it as an xmas gift to a morbidly obese pal in Florida. Unfortunately, I don't think he'll be able to track his mileage (to and from the kitchen) since his 59 inch "waist" will conceal the meter from view. Sportline should offer an extra large clip so tubbies can clamp it to a belly roll.

I also have a GOWalking by sportline pedometer. A few basic instructions which I use are > press and hold the reset button for more than 3 seconds to clear all previous data except time shown by the clock. > Press the Mode button multiple number of times to to change the Mode to either of "Step","Distance""K Calories" or "Clock". > In the distance mode press and hold the reset butoon for more than 3 seconds to shift from kilometer to mile or vice versa. > in distance mode presss the set button to set the step length, pressing the set button multiple number of times to achieve the desired settings and wait for a few seconds > In KCalories mode press the set button to set the weight.

I lost my manual too. tough to set up without it. Found it online.
Go to Sportsline website. Click on Pedometer in the upper left. Pick your pedometer -> click on More Info -> download manual. Hope this helps
